Anne beats Kathleen at Lucan

After the horrors of Saturday, Sunday was a cold but dry day; ideal for cross-country running. Back in action for Sportsworld was Kathleen O'Callaghan, but despite a week's warm-weather training in Lanzerote, she still couldn't get the better of Ann Ormsby from Fingallians, who stayed back for the first half mile or so, but then took over in front. "Exactly the same as last year," lamented Kathleen.
Ann gave some credit for her win to her distinctive lucky singlet although she admitted that it is a tad on the large side. Still, she does wear it with style!
In third place was the much-improved Bronagh Snow, also Fingallians, while fourth was Louise Keogh of Blackrock.
First 10: 1 Ann Ormsby (Fingallians) 12.30; 2 Kathleen O'Callaghan (Sportsworld) 12.33; 3 Brnagh Snow (Fingallians) 13.00; 4 Louise Keogh (Blackrock) 13.10; 5 Derval McCarthy (Lucan) 13.31; 6 Orlagh Fleming (Sportsworld) 13.33; Cindy Hickey (Fingallians) 13.34; 8 Ciara Foster 13.36.
