Dunboyne hosts first Winter League Race

Dunboyne will host the opening round of this year's Meet and Train Winter League on Sunday November 4 (11am).

Entry fee is €7 or  €20 for  the series of  four races, two before Christmas and two after. Best three results to count with overall league prizes for individuals in senior and master  categories as well as for teams in three grades;  6 on team with 4 to score in each run, so everyone has a chance. Plus spot prizes at every race. 
That's the way you go!
New groups and individuals are welcome from clubs,  fit camps, gyms, etc. A great way to stay fit in winter and to meet runners from other groups over a friendly post-race cuppa!

Meet and Train  Women's Winter League dates - November 4 Dunboyne; December 2 Fingallians Swords; January 13 Sportsworld Bushy Park; February 3 Lucan. All runs will start at 11am.

Summer League 2012 Result

At Monday's meeting of team leaders in Donore,  it was agreed unanimously that we would consider the summer Road League to be finished, even though we only had two races.  So below are the final results based on the 2 mile and 4 mile races.  Thanks to all who took part.

Winter League Dates 2012-13


Meet and Train  Women's Winter League - November 4 Sportsworld Bushy Park; December 2 Fingallians Swords; January 13 Dunboyne; February 3 Raheny or Lucan.  Entry fee €7 or  €20 for  series of 3/4 races. Best 3 results to count; 6 on team 4 to score in three grades so everyone has a chance. All 11am starts.

Last night's meeting  - report by Manuelle Ratte of Belfield Runners. 
"We haven't forgotten the third race of the Summer League was never run and that some people had paid for that race. It was agreed to "forget about it"; the €20  paid for three races will be used to buy a t-shirt  or something else. 
"In the Winter League, there could be a fifth race depending on how the  first four races go but nothing has been decided.  We were thinking of having five races in the winter and two in the summer when it is even harder to find dates for races on the roads."
