With a nip in the air, the Winter League is just around the corner. First date is Sunday November 7 at Lucan (11am start in Griffeen Park) as previously agreed.
Registration, both of individuals and teams, will take place on the morning of the race from 9.45am at the Lucan Harriers clubhouse opposite Superquinn on the Adamstown road (signposted from motorway). The race venue is a ten minute easy jog from the club-house.
Entry fee is €20 per individual for the four races, or €7 per race on the day. Teams (of 6) as usual will be divided into gold, silver and bronze categories, so giving everyone a chance to run at their own level. The best four will score, with all four races counting.
From Sue:
"We have purchased two large prize cups (eventually we will have one per section ) which can be engraved by the winning club. The existing trophies will go to the series winner for a year."
The second date was to be November 28 in Raheny, but AAI have now shifted the National Intercounties to that date, which means officials may not be on hand to organise a race. Watch this space.
After Xmas, the dates are Sun Jan 9 Sportsworld and Sun Jan 23, Swords.
Look forward to seeing you all in Lucan on November 7.
